Referral / Referral Monies

  1. Eligibility: Over 18 years of age and legally capable under Scottish law can participate.

  2. Referral Submission: Referrals must be submitted through the correct channels (website, email, or social media). Until confirmation is returned by scotland’s property buyer via email no mandate or agreement is in place. Confirmation will be within 48 hours. 

  3. Confidentiality: Any personal data collected will be handled in accordance with GDPR. 

  4. No Double Referrals: If two people refer the same property, the fee will be paid to the first valid referrer. Any dispute arising will be examined by scotland’s property buyer and a decision made on the evidence available. 

  5. Completion Clause: Payment is made only upon completion of the property purchase. Legal completion is defined as the legal transfer of title or payment of the purchase price, whichever occurs first. 

  6. Exclusion: Properties already identified by scotland’s property buyer, under offer or in legals. Identified means information already sought from the selling party or selling estate agent.

  7. Mandate: A signed mandate by both parties constitutes a legally binding contract. Once the property has been offered, a mandate for signature will be created. This will detail the consideration being paid to the referrer and any notes or timeframes.
